  • Nature of Parenting: In one way or another, we are all influenced by parents, either our own or those of everyone we come into contact with. In our opinion, this makes parents one of the most important of all social influences. We believe this makes it extremely important to understand the nature of parental influence. In addition, we believe that parenting skills are an important determinant of how children (i.e., you and I) turn out. Of all the different things we could do to help make this world a better place, we believe one of the most important starting points is with parents. If we can help parents do a better job, then their children are likely to grow up with fewer personal problems and to be capable of greater contributions to their societies.
